About Sun Dried Tomatoes

Product Info:
Sun-Dried Tomatoes are vine-ripened Tomatoes that are picked and dried. Our Sun-Dried Tomatoes are wonderfully fragrant with the sweet flavor of ripe tomatoes. Sun-Dried Tomatoes have long been used in Mediterranean areas; though they are relatively new to the United States gourmet market. Traditionally, sun-drying was one of the few safe ways to preserve produce.

Suggested Use:
Use in any recipe that calls for Tomatoes. Chopped Sun-Dried Tomatoes are great in breads and bagels or mixed into salads. Add to pizzas, pasta sauces or chile. Marinate and broil with garlic to make an easy and delicious appetizer.

Ingredients:
Sun dried tomato, salt.  This product contains approximately 590mg of sodium per 1oz serving.

Basic Prep:
Add Sun-Dried Tomatoes directly into recipe that requires cooking. For use in salads, blanch 30 seconds in boiling water to bring out flavor and soften texture.

Country of Origin:
This product originates from Turkey.

    This is my first time trying sun dried tamatoes and wow these are terrific even my 13 year old son who hates tamatoes asks for these on some of his foods.Give them a try you will love them and most likely go back and by more like me.
