Sour Salt

Citric Acid is a natural preservative and additive used for its sour taste, which is why it may also be referred to as Sour Salt. It is most commonly used as a preservative and flavoring for soft drinks, as well as an additive to ice cream. Citric acid can be substituted for lemon juice and vinegar in recipes where a dry ingredient is preferred.
