About Cardamom Seeds
Cardamom (Elettria Cardamomum) is native to India and is often used in many dishes from South Asia. After Saffron and Vanilla, Cardamom is the third most expensive spice. These seeds come from green cardamom pods, but have been decorticated. This means that you don’t have to crack the pods. Instead, simply grind as needed.
Cardamom can be used in many different ways. It's found in curries and as a flavoring in Indian spiced tea. Cardamom also is used in Scandinavian sweet dishes, such as coffee cakes, pastries.
Grind seeds before adding to baked goods, recipes, or curry blends. Place seeds in a cheesecloth bag for tea infusions.
Can also be spelled (or misspelled!) as Cardamon, Cardomon or Cardomom.
