About Dill Seeds, Ground

Product Info:
Dill Seeds (Anethum Graveolens) are reminiscent of mild Caraway Seeds, however, Dill Seeds have a distinct, bold taste. They are small, oval and parchment colored. Dill Seeds are very similar in taste to Caraway Seeds, except the Dill Seeds are milder. Use Dill as you would Caraway Seeds. Dill is used widely in dishes from Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe. Its history in Europe is quite long; the ancient Romans believed Dill to be a vitality symbol; the Greeks used it as a cure for hiccups and it was used to ward off witchcraft in the Middle Ages. Today Dill seeds are used for soothing digestive problems. 

Suggested Use:
Dill can be added to the cooking water of strong vegetables, rubbed into meats before broiling, sauces based on sour cream, mayonnaise based dressings and salads, soups, in sauces to go with fish such as salmon, and in crumb toppings for casseroles.
